California Woman Arrested After Licking Almost $2K Worth Of Groceries

In this time of COVID-19, people are getting crazier and crazier.

A 53-year-old woman was arrested after being accused of licking a cart full of groceries worth near $2,000 in a South Lake Tahoe supermarket this past Tuesday according to Newsweek.

Jennifer Gloria Walker was in the Safeway supermarket on Johnson Lane when she was accused and detained for licking and contaminating some products, even though U.S. citizens are being urged to practice proper hygience and cleanliness during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The products, which included jewelry, were valued at roughly $1800 and one of the employees said Ms. Walker put “numerous pieces” of jewelry on her hands and then licked them.

When officers arrived to the store, they found the woman still with a shopping cart full of products and no means of paying for them. Walker was then arrested on a felony charge of “vandalism of more than $400” and booked into the El Dorado County Jail.

Her charges could have her face up to one year in jail and up to $50.000 in fines.
